Checklist to help determine why a product specific publication is not generated
Product specific publications are in general triggered when a product is released in SyncForce. The generation process is asynchronous and the file is often generated within minutes, but, especially when updates are done in bulk, it can take a bit longer.
If you expect that the file is not generated you can use the checklist below to see if there is a data problem. In case the checklist is not sufficient, please contact your implementation partner and tell them what you already checked.
Checklist
- Meaningful change in product/digital asset/trade hierarchy data
If there is no change in the data used for the publication, the file will not be re-generated. - Segmentation product + digital assets
Check if the correct markets, brand and user groups are listed for the product and any relevant digital assets are set. If an asset, like for example the main image, is obligatory for this publication and it's segmentation is incorrect, nothing will be generated. - Status product + digital assets + trade hierarchy
Product status needs to be Released, digital assets Published and, if applicable, trade hierarchies also need to be Released. - Language/translation requirements
Are you expecting a publication in specific (non default) languages? Double check if essential product data is translated and if you are generating in this language for the first time, also check meta data translations. - Publication specific minimum requirements
These can be different per publication.
