Why does my IP address have to be whitelisted to use SyncForce test environment (Cloud)?

Using the SyncForce test environment requires an adequate SyncForce-license.

SyncForce has a test environment which can be used to test out specific configurations, data imports and adjusted processes. This environment is available at [customer].syncforce.cloud.

To use the SyncForce test environment an adequate SyncForce-license is required. To prevent users and companies to use the SyncForce test environment without having a proper SyncForce-license, the IP addresses of the company need to be whitelisted. This means that by default the [customer].syncforce.cloud environment is not available unless the IP address the user uses is whitelisted.

When users are working from home, their IP address is different from the IP address working from the office. In this case, the users will need to connect to the companies VPN network in order to approach SyncForce with the same IP address at home as when in the office.
