What products are available for me in Manager modules?

Per Manage module explained which products are available for the user.

The SyncForce roles & responsibilities model supports extended options for having access to product data and also for managing product data.

  • Product Portfolio role
    • A user has a 'Product Portfolio role'. This role defines which modules are available in Manage Product Portfolio and what the generic responsibilities are across all products.
  • Product Team role
    • Each product has 1 product team which is responsible for this product. A user can be part of 1 or multiple product teams in a 'Product team role'. Per product team role, mainly the same responsibilities can be defined as which can be set in the generic Product Portfolio role. The rights a user has on a product are defined by the generic Product Portfolio role PLUS the Product Team role. This means that a user can in basis have limited rights and gets additional rights when (s)he is responsible for the product (because (s)he is part of the product team).
  • Access & Manage rights on brands
    • Per user is defined if the user can access and/or manage a brand. The options are:
      • Manage
      • View only
      • No access

Which products are available for me in Manager modules?

The Product Portfolio role has a responsibility which is used to define which products are available for a user in Manager modules. This responsibility is 'Access to products'. The options are:

  • All
    • The user will see all products, regardless of the user being part of the product team which is responsible for the product.
  • My
    • The user will only see the products where (s)he is part of the product team.

  • Display all products from brands the user can either view or manage.
  • IF 'Access to products' is 'My', limit the products by the product teams the user is part of. ELSE ('Access to products' is 'All') do not limit on product team.

Manage Product Portfolio » Bulk Update

  • Display all products from brands the user can manage.
  • IF 'Adjust product status' = Yes in the Product Portfolio role
    • IF 'Access to products' is 'My', limit the products by the product teams the user is part of.
    • ELSE ('Access to products' is 'All') do not limit on product team.
  • IF 'Adjust product status' = No in the Product Portfolio role
    • Limit the products by the product teams the user is part of AND where the user is in a Product Team role with 'Adjust product status' = Yes

  • Display all products from brands the user can manage, and which are still Active
  • IF 'Access to products' is 'My', limit the products by the product teams the user is part of. ELSE ('Access to products' is 'All') do not limit on product team.

  • Display all products from brands which are still Active
  • Exclude products already added to this product in this role

  • Display all products from brands which are still Active

Manage Product Portfolio » Open product » Trade hierarchies » Add product

  • Display all products from brands the user can either view or manage.
  • IF 'Access to products' is 'My', limit the products by the product teams the user is part of. ELSE ('Access to products' is 'All') do not limit on product team.
  • Exclude products with DLC status 'Archived', 'Pending' and 'Rejected'
  • Product material type needs to be 'Finished good'
