Which data can I change via Excel exports & imports?

SyncForce offers various ways for updating Metadata product data and packaging data via Excel export & imports.

The template imports available in the SyncForce Exports & Reports all use an export as their basis. This export is the so called 'template' to do the modifications. Per import, the related report can be configured for you by your SyncForce Implementation Partner.

PDM Bulk Update

Update existing products

• Attributes in product base language

Empty values

• Attribute values are removed
• Texts in the product base language are emptied, translations remain available

Create new products

• Check if article nr is available, if so the existing product based on this article nr will be updated. Else check on existing master code, if so, create new variant for this existing master. If not, create new master and variant.

Update existing products

• Product & master name in product base language
• Product team, brand, series
• Product class
• Attributes in product base language
• Text roles in product base language
• Update DLC status
• User group segmentation (only to Always or Never)
• Not possible to assign a product to a campaign
• Market segmentation

Move variant to other master

• Change the master information on the Variant to the new master

What can be imported:

The list below applies to packaging elements assigned to 'products' (finished goods and generic packaging components) and to shipping units.

• Create new packaging elements
• Update existing packaging elements
  • Set packaging type
  • Set key packaging type
  • Add/update/delete packaging material + related attributes
  • Set Terms & conditions
  • Add/remove returnable asset
• Delete packaging elements
  • Except for deleting all elements from an item. This will be added in the future.

PDM Product Pricing

Create MSRP Prices (In / Ex VAT)

• When prices in the future are delivered, these prices will be imported and all existing future prices for this product & price region will be deleted.
• Create new current price when ValidFrom is in the past.

Product DLC status

• Products are set to In revision if current DLC status is Released or Data check and prices have been added to / removed from this product
• Option to update product DLC status back to 'Released' if the product got changed in this import

PDM Product Supply locations

Note:

• Only the supply locations linked to products are outputted. Not the ones linked to a shipping unit.

PDM Product Trade Hierarchy

Create new SIMPLE trade hierarchies with new shipping units
A 'SIMPLE' trade hierarchy is a trade hierarchy with 1 item on every level (so no displays with multiple products for example or pallet with 2 different shipping units on it)

• New trade hierarchy is created with status Draft
• Also possible to use existing shipping units in new trade hierarchies

Update trade hierarchy structure

• Change quantity, change which shipping units are in the trade hierarchy, a released hierarchy will go to In revision

Update shipping unit
This is for ALL shipping units. So the ones in single product trade hierarchies and the ones in multi product trade hierarchies.

• Shipping unit name in SyncForce customer default content language, only when manually entered.
• Option to change shipping unit name to auto generated / manually entered.

Update Product translations

Translations are processed for all languages other than SyncForce customer default content language

• Product & Master name
• Text attributes
• Label info: Ingredient statements (source / on label), Legal names (source / on label)
• Remove value when value is set with  'NULL'

Product DLC status

• Products are set to In revision if current DLC status is Released or Data check and translations used on this product got changed in this import in a language in which the product data is available
• Option to update product DLC status back to 'Released' if the product got changed in this import

Digital Asset Template
