Our PPWR commitment

PPWR is not a one-off project. It is a regulation that will become stricter over the coming years. Towards 2030 and 2035, requirements such as recyclability grades, packaging minimisation, empty-space limits and recycled content will come into force.

Our commitment is simple: SyncForce stays in sync with PPWR, at every milestone.

This commitment applies to customers on the SyncForce Ultimate plan, which includes the PPWR Compliance Manager. Customers on Essential or Professional can move to Ultimate at any time. See our licence plans.

What that means in practice:

  • New requirements: on time. When the EU publishes a new PPWR requirement, it is available in SyncForce at least 6 months before it applies, giving you time to complete your data. This holds when the final text is published at least 12 months before the application date. If the EU publishes later, we deliver within 6 months of publication, and before the application date wherever feasible.
  • Clarifications: with priority. When the EU issues FAQs, guidance or corrections, we implement them with priority, ahead of planned development where deadlines require it.
  • Included. All obligations under PPWR (Regulation (EU) 2025/40) as applicable in August 2026 are covered by your Ultimate subscription. This includes the delegated and implementing acts, guidance and FAQs that follow from it, including the requirements that come into force towards 2030 and 2035. No add-ons, no surprise upgrades.
  • New regulation. If new obligations arise outside this PPWR text, such as a Digital Product Passport for packaging, we will support those as well. How they fit into your licence, we will announce in advance, well before the obligation applies.
  • Transparent. We follow the EU timeline for PPWR, and every release journal reports what is live in SyncForce. Where the EU has not yet adopted the detailed rules, we say so openly. Harmonised labelling is an example: SyncForce already supports recycling codes and icons today, and we will implement the harmonised labels as soon as the EU adopts the implementing act.
  • Clear on roles. SyncForce gives you the data, the evidence and the documentation to demonstrate compliance. Compliance itself remains your responsibility as the producer. Where requirements depend on physical testing or third-party assessments, SyncForce manages the results, not the tests themselves.

No one can predict everything Brussels will publish over the coming years. What we can promise is how we respond: early, included and in the open.
