My digital asset shows no files in the Media Library, what can be the case?

Either the digital asset has no files (add the files) or the file types are not yet available for the user group (adjust rights).

When the digital asset shows no files in the Media Library, there can be 2 reasons:

  1. The digital asset has no files.
  2. The user does not yet have access to any of the file types for this digital asset type.

Check if the digital asset has files

  • Go to 'Manager Identity & Digital Assets'
  • Open the digital asset
  • Go to the tab 'Files'
  • Check if there are any files available

If the digital asset does not have any files, add the files in here.

Adjust file type rights for the user

  • Go to 'Manager Identity & Digital Assets'
  • Go to the 'Settings' module
  • Scroll down to the digital asset type for which the digital asset was available in the Media Library. Or just run through all the digital asset types if all rights are still blank.

  • Decide per file type and user group combination if the users from this user group should have access to these kind of files. If so, turn on the checkbox.
  • Scroll down and click 'Save'
  • Sign out and sign in again to have the new rights applied.
  • Go to the Media Library, open the digital asset and see that the files are available.
