Product data from SyncForce is published to GDSN/GS1. This Knowledge Base article is about how to trace a GDSN field back to its source in SyncForce.
Step 1: Find the Field name in GDSN/GS1 - when using the TradeConnectors data pool
- Sign in to datasource.gs1.nl or uat-datasource.gs1.nl
- Go to a product.
- If the field is already filled, you can right away go to the specific section and field. If the field is not yet filled, you can click on the 'Draft' tab top left to show all fields. Then go to the specific section and field.
- Click on the ? icon to the right of the field. This will show the instructions popup. In this popup, the GDSN Name is the Field name we're looking for.
Step 2: Check which documentation to use for looking up the field name
The Field in GDSN is either published from SyncForce
- From a generic module. This is for example the Label info tab, Product packaging, etc.
- Or From a customer specific attribute.

Step 3: Lookup this Field name in the documentation
- Open the documentation
- Search on the GDSN Field name
- Scroll to the left and see which SyncForce field (in the generic mapping) or BREF (in the customer specific mapping) is mapped to this GDSN field.
