SyncForce has the option to define one or more default values per product class.
Once these default values are configured, these default values will be assigned to any new product that is created for this product class.
The following field types can have default values:
- Single select
- Multi select
- Boolean
- Numeric with decimals
- Numeric without decimals
If and how default values are set depends on the situations:
- When adding products via the Product Data Manager the default values are set when configured for the product class that is assigned to the product.
- When adding new products via the Product Import, default values will only be set if the import file has no value for this attribute.
- When cloning a product (create a product based on an existing product) default values will not be set. The values of the source product are copied, and not replaced with any applicable default value.
