How to add new Brand to SyncForce?

With similar brands existing out there, it becomes important to uniquely identify these and determine ownership before you start using them in SyncForce.

Four step process

  1. Check if the Brand in question is already registered at www.gbin.info
  2. If not, have your SyncForce Implementation Partner register the Brand and activate it.
  3. If it does exist you only have to let your SyncForce Implementation Partner activate the GBIN that it has.
  4. Start using the brand & set user rights.

1. Check Brand registry

Just like GTINs (Global Trade Identification Numbers) uniquely identify products and GLNs (Global Location Numbers) identify companies, there are Global Brand Identification Numbers (=GBINs) identifying Brands. Check the www.gbin.info website if the brand is already registered.

  • If it is, write down the GBIN and skip step 2.
  • If it is not yet available, go to step 2.

2. Deliver the information to have the Brand registered for a GBIN

Provide the following details to your SyncForce Implementation Partner in order for them to register the Brand for you:

  1. Brandname
  2. Brand website URL (official brand website, not a subsection of parent company site)
  3. Industry category (see list below)
  4. Country of origin
  5. Provide a logo file (PNG or JPG format) with a minimum height or width of 800px
If a brand is owned by another entity or is a sub-brand, then the Parent Company information is also needed:
    1. Parent company name/Brand owner name
    2. Parent website url
    3. Country of origin parent company
