SyncForce has a standard integrated portal with several libraries: Product Catalog, Media Library, Project Knowledge Base, Promo shop.
Customer contacts need a personal user account to get access to these Libraries. The contact related to this user account will be linked to the account (e.g. trade partner or creative partner).
These so called external users will get the user rights based on a combination of:
- Account rights
- User group rights
Account rights
In the Contact & User Manager in SyncForce you can manage all your accounts (trade & creative partners you work with). First setup is to make sure the setup for giving external contacts access is completed by setting up the account types you want to use (can be done by your SyncForce Implementation Partner).
After setup is completed, you can add the accounts to SyncForce. Accounts can also be created as part of the registration process.
The first part of the user rights for external users is defined on account level (so all contacts from the same account have the same portfolio rights). On account level two parts of the user rights can be set:
- Brands (what is the brand coverage of this trade or creative partner)
- Markets (in what markets it this trade or creative partner active)

User group rights
Next to the Brands and the Markets which are defined on Account level, the user has a User group which is the next level of rights for this user.
Products, digital assets, campaigns, the availability of all items in SyncForce are managed per user group. So for example a digital asset can already be made available for the internal Marketing department but not yet for the external partners. The digital asset will become available for the external partner 1 month later for example.
Also which Libraries are available for a user is defined per user group.
Setting up (new) user groups can be done by your SyncForce Implementation Partner.
Create user or user registers for SyncForce
There are 2 options for new external users to get access to SyncForce:
- The user is created by a User Manager in Manage Contacts & Users.
- The user registers him-/herself for SyncForce.
The user is created by a User Manager in Manage Contacts & Users
- Go to [customer].syncforce.com
- Go to Manage Contacts & Users
- Go to Partners
- Select the account for which the user needs to be created or create the account first
- Create new contact
- Go to tab 'User account'
- Create new user account
- The user will be informed via email about his/her new user account.
The user registers him-/herself for SyncForce
- The user goes to [customer.syncforce.com
- Fill in the email address with which (s)he would like access
- Click on 'Continue'
- Follow the registration process
