How to become a Super admin user?

Super admin users can manage key settings in SyncForce. This right can be assigned to users individually.

The 'Platform settings' module in SyncForce is available for 'Super admin' users. This module contains all kind of settings which should only be managed by a limited set of users who are aware of the impact these changes can have. The 'Super admin' option is only available for internal users.

How to become a 'Super admin' user?

Existing users

  • Go to Manage Contacts & Users
  • Go to the specific employee (the 'Super admin' option is only available for internal users)
  • Go to the tab 'User account'
  • Edit
  • Turn on 'Super admin' and hit Save

New users

There are 3 ways a user can be created in SyncForce:

  1. The user is created via the 'New internal user' option in the 'Quick actions' menu top right.
  2. The user is created by a user in Manage Contacts & Users.
  3. The user registers him-/herself via the sign in page and the user is authorized in the User authorization module.

In options 1 and 2 the 'Super admin' option is available. In option 3, the super admin setting can be set afterwards in the 'User account' tab (see 'Existing users').

Only 'Super admin' users can make other users 'Super admin'

For security reasons, the 'Super admin' option for a user can only be turned ON / OFF by another 'Super admin' user.

  • The first user for a new customer is always marked as 'Super admin' so this user can keep the 'Super admin' rights or give it to somebody else.
  • The last user with 'Super admin' rights cannot be 'de-super-admin-ed'. So this user first needs to make somebody else a 'Super admin' in order to no longer be a 'Super admin' him-/herself.
