How to add a GTIN to a pallet when it's currently published as non-GTIN pallet to GS1?

On assigning the GTIN to the pallet, the option to depublish the trade hierarchy is given. After successfully depublished, the GTIN can be assigned and trade hierarchy can be republished.

To assign a GTIN to a pallet which is currently published to GS1, take the following steps:

  • Login to SyncForce

  • Go to Manage Product Portfolio

  • Go to the specific product

  • Go to the specific trade hierarchy

  • Open shipping unit details

  • Click on 'Assign' next to GTIN

  • A pop-up will be shown which indicates that this trade hierarchy is published to GS1 and first needs to be depublished in order to assign the GTIN.

  • Depublish to all targets

  • When this is successfully processed (check the 'Publication status' tab), the GTIN can be assigned
  • Activate the GS1 targets again which have been deactivated in previous step

    • In the GS1 targets section, go to the Inactive list

    • Open the GS1 target
    • Release for publication
  • Release the trade hierarchy again or release the product and with that the trade hierarchy will be released again

  • When the product is released, the publish to channels step is shown. Publish to GS1.

  • When the trade hierarchy is released, click on the trade hierarchy channel publication status icons left to the product status switch button (top right) and publish the product again to GS1.
