Having a test environment is very helpful for training purposes or to test setup changes and bulk data updates. A test environment is either a separate licence or is part of the standard and premium plan.
Access
The test environment, offered by SyncForce, can be accessed through https://*.syncforce.cloud (where * is your company name, for example https://company.syncforce.com). Important for getting access is that the IP address you're connecting from has been whitelisted on the SyncForce side.
Has your IP address not been whitelisted yet? Check out which IP addresses are in use by your company (check out this article) and contact your SyncForce Implementation Partner. Having a test environment can be useful if there is a need to do your own testing on a regular basis.
Your SyncForce Implementation Partner also has access to your test environment and uses it to test configuration updates and data loads (together with you).
NOTE that additional configuration might be needed to create a test environment that is fit for purpose. Example: Setting up an additional ERP import route to be able to do test loads to the test environment.
Monday morning restore
Testing should be done throughout the week as each Monday morning (early in the morning) the cloud environment will be overwritten with a fresh copy of data and configuration of the live environment. This ensures that you always have relatively recent data to work with.
If the need arises for a longer period than a week, the Monday morning restores can temporarily be put on hold. Ask your SyncForce Implementation Partner about this.
NOTE that these periods should be as short as possible, as your SyncForce Implementation Partner also uses the environment for testing.
