Digital asset creation via shared folders
The options explained for key SyncForce users.
SyncForce supports the delivery of digital asset files via shared folders. The 3 main platforms are:
- Dropbox
- Google Drive
- OneDrive
The following platforms seems to be possible as well, have not been configured for a customer yet. Zo contact SyncForce via support@syncforce.com to test them.
In the Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc platform, a shared folder will be created for you as a customer. This folder will contain a subfolder for every digital asset type. If needed, this can also be a subfolder per digital asset team & digital asset type combination so the digital assets will right away be assigned to the correct digital asset team.
IMPORTANT:
- All files delivered in these shared folders are created as individual digital assets.
- The files delivered in these shared folders can be converted to other file types & extensions (resized, change in resolution, color profile, etc.). Thumbnails are always created. There are some file extensions for which the thumbnail is a default thumbnail (for example Zip). Ask your SyncForce Implementation Partner for the options.
- Please upload the files in SyncForce Digital Asset Manager in case you would like to create a digital asset for which you've created the file conversions yourself. Or add the file conversions after they have been delivered in the shared folders and a digital asset has been created in SyncForce.
Contact your SyncForce Implementation Partner to get this configuration setup.
